I was driving down 153 and saw a teal civic hatch sitting on the Honda lot. I went to look at it and it was a dealership only car so no go but instead was showed a 99 hatch. It was silver and mint. Only had 27k miles on it. I was tempted but decided to pass on spending 9500 on a car that I was just gonna totally change. As I was walking back to my car I saw a white car in the corner of the lot. It was a 99 Prelude Type SH. it was clean. My ex really loved it so I decided why not. Talked to the sales guy and it wasn't even in the computer yet. It had just been traded in and hadn't even been through safety yet. So I drove it home that day.

I enjoyed that car for a while then start having issues. I couldn't get it to crank. I worked on the car for days and found nothing. Took it to honda and ended up that a wire came loose in the alt. plug. Got it fixed and drove it for a while. Then while driving one day I was drivng to work and the sun was in my eyes. Once I could see again I saw a burgandy car with a purple pearl about 20 feet in front of me. It was pretty much invisiable due to the sun. I swerved hard and just clipped him. he had 800 bucks worth of damage, i had 2700.

Got that all taken care of and started driving the lude again. Then I started having issues again. It just wasn't running right again. So I took it for a test at honda. I was told the head was bad and I needed a new one. I though it was odd seeing how they didn't remove the old one. So I bought a new one. Figured it I was gonna replace it, I would upgrade it. So I bought a fully built one. Ported and Polished, crower springs, retainers and valves. Since I was working so much I had a shop do it. I brought them the head, all new belts, Auto tension system and all fluids. When I picked it up it, all looked well and I drove to walmart. On the way it overheated. Upon looking around I found it had no anti-freeze in it. or water. bone dry. topped it off and started driving again. About two weeks later, I was leaving Bilo and when I cranked my car I heard it jump time. Sure enough. 8 valves were bent in the process. Ended up finding out that the shop didn't use my new parts and the tensioner failed. Because I brought the parts, they wouldn't fix it. I decided then that the only people that work on my cars would be me and my friends that knew what they were doing. I fixed it and off again. Next up was a slight rattle noise. Had no idea. I looked and looked and then i figured it out. A bolt worked out of motor mount and fell into the belt system. It ate up the belt and I also noticed the rockers where being ate up. We never figured out why the rockers messed up. Only thing is the rockers had to be grinded on thd bottom to clear the new valves and springs.

So I swapped the head out for another head and was on the road again. Drove for about 4 months and my was just running rough. I took the head back off and learned I had a hole in a valve. So on went the first head again. And it was running like a champ. Stronger then ever. Me and my girl went to see my brother in atlanta. Two hours on the road and no issues. Then she states, "this is the first time Ive came to atlanta and not had car problems. Not 3 mins later, knock knock knock boom..... yeah hole in the block lol. in atlanta.

So I rented a Uhaul and brought it home. Now am in the process of doing a full build. All forged, sleeved block, fully built head and then its going up for sell lol. Im ready for a fancy car.

The h22 block uses a carbon fiber/iron mixture. Almost impossible to hone. Plus you can't run any aftermarket pistions in it. So I had it sleeved. Have the pistions so I went ahead and bought forged rods. Head is fully built minus cams. You can't find a sh swap so you have to get a type s swap and do the American obd2 swap. Not worth the 3500 price. That's why.

Yeah I saw that. This is the issue.3 shops in the us. it was still cheaper to sleeve. shipping a block is expensive.
