Taylor's 370z...Intro status! Empty Taylor's 370z...Intro status!

Post by TACUFF370Z Fri Aug 26, 2011 10:45 am

Hey yall. I'm Taylor and I own a 370z. She has taken a decent amount of money and time, but she is well worth it. Here's my mediocre list of my mods: Stillen catback exhaust, Stillen G3 Intake, Forgestar F14 piano black 19" wheels, 255's on the front and 305's on the rear, Nismo rear bumper, Blacked out tail lights and door handles, EVO-R front lip, Aerojacket rear wing, and a couple stickers Neutral but +5 HP each. Oh yeah can't forget my matching blue fire extinguisher.

I'm not sure what all I'll add to my car in the future, I'm about out of ideas. I'm more about cosmetic than power, so we will see. Cool

Here's an idea, if you're going for looks over power (+1) then Let's get you some coilovers, slam that thing and start looking for some lower offset wheels and some stretched tires, add camber =dopeness.
My $0.02.

20x12 X offset VIP modular VR06 or VR08.. I am assuming you can afford those since you have a 370z..

Mad Mad Mad Mad

Can someone please explain why improper tire fitment is all the rage? You do realize that stretching out your sidewall like that doesn't allow a car to handle as well as it should right? Oh wait, let me guess, hurrr durrr doesn't matter you h8r... as long as it looks phresh.

For one he said that he wanted it for looks not power
I have stretch to fit 10 inch wide wheels on a family car.
I DO NOT NEED HANDLING. My car is a daily driver and I will NEVER race anyone and I will NEVER track it. So for my application Stretched tires do serve a purpose.
Sorry I can't throw big fat tires on mine and go vroom vroom vtec fast like you Mr. Cool Function man.
Lol.

Yeah seriously.. I would much rather drive this around:
Taylor's 370z...Intro status! Bagged_370z_slammed_Hellaflush_2

than being a little higher, have some lame sizes/offset just because it adds more function.. if he is not going to track/drag/race the car.. then who cars about handling? Why do you need to take a turn at such a ridiculous speed on the road anywas and put multiple peoples lives at risk? because race car I guess..

I agree..if your tracking/racing your car then yes fucntion plays a big factor in your decision..as if your into form that also plays a role in your modding choices..we all have different tastes like we do in cars..music..movies..girls..clothing..so why make this a big deal? I know a guy named Johnny who is sitting slammed on more stretch and poke than anyone here or most guys in that case who drifts the hell out of his car and is damn good! So you can have both even if you have an aggressive setup..we have to respect each others decisions..not hate..and if you don't respect others taste in cars then just keep it to yourself..this forum was created to unite tha car enthusiasts of the area not to tear us more apart..we can make the same argument about the function guys..why would you want a lame functional setup when you can drop that frame and be the sickest car in town? Lol like blackestcoupe said some of us have no need for a functional setup..so why not slam the bitch to the ground and go as wide as possible and look nastyyyy! and if I had a 370z I wouldn't be slinging the thing around the track..same way I feel about my g35 coupe..so why argue? Let's just all do the right thing! Get coilovers and stretch your tires and be part of the revolution! =) jk but damn it looks great..phew..next topic!

Well said.

How much power do you make?
I am picking up a 370 Friday. Planning on leaving it stock for a while and just driving the crap out of it, but may go with a tune and exhaust to get it into Nismo power. I know it is there if they just do a tune and exhaust for the Nismo package.
